TMG Agency, Slingshot, Brokers Meltwater Sponsorship Of XTC’s Necker Island Event

London – 25 August 2017 – Slingshot Sponsorship, part of The Marketing Group plc (TMG), today announce it has brokered a sponsorship deal with media monitoring platform,  Meltwater, for the Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC) event on Necker Island with Sir Richard Branson. The event is the world’s largest competition of its kind in the world, helping startups gain unprecedented access to key investors, advice on rapidly scaling and the opportunity to form strategic partnerships with some of the world’s leading business professionals.

XTC 2018 has added a data and analytics vertical for this year’s competition, which will focus on highlighting the most promising data science start-ups. The new vertical will be sponsored by Meltwater, a global leader in media intelligence, a deal brokered by Slingshot Sponsorship.

Meltwater’s Outside Insight technology uses advanced AI and data science to help more than 25,000 clients leverage valuable external data to make more informed business decisions. Meltwater was founded in Norway in 2001 by CEO Jorn Lyseggen, who bootstrapped the company with $15,000. Today it has more than 1,500 employees and 55 offices globally.
